Social Networking - Free Advertising for Your Business!

Janet Hunt
Whether or not you Facebook, your business should have a Facebook page or a presence with other prominent social networking sites. Why, you might ask? Social networking is here to stay, so you might as well enjoy all the benefits you can receive.

By analyzing the feedback left on your fan page, you can gather helpful suggestions or criticism of your business or products for free? That's right, for free. How much would this research cost in the real world? True enough, you may receive some unwanted spam, but while weeding through this, you can retrieve nuggets of gold in useful information.

Companies are jumping on the bandwagon of social media by the thousands and even have staff dedicated to analyzing and understanding what is being said about their products and services through social networking.

Social networking is also a great way to retain your best customers. They will enjoy the interaction with your company, come back time, and time again to hear about the special offers and discounts you post. Everyone knows it costs less to retain an old customer than to go out and find new ones. But the thing is, social networking will open the door to a completely new world of possibilities. Your business' message will reach people you never thought possible as your links and information are shared and shared again on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites.

You should not worry too much about negative feedback. If you carefully monitor your posts, you will see any issues you need to address with customers, be able to fix the problem, and then post the message letting everyone know how you have addressed their concerns! How's that for efficiency?

Social networking is free and can grow you customer retention potential by leaps and bounds. There is no real reason not to access this free and powerful media for your company.

I have Facebook and Twitter, but I still can't seem to promote my writing properly. Not enough people ever read mine. I must be missing some magic ingredient that escapes my attention.
