Social Networking Roller-Coaster

April Higney
A social networking roller-coaster ride.
The world all a'twitter, a media frenzy.
Trying to keep up in poetic attributes,
wondering where all this technology will send me.

Lost when it comes to i-pods, i-phones, i just don't know, i-tones...no its i-tunes.
Aggravated at all the computer integration.
My hard drive can't handle it all, I'm going too fast on this roller-coaster.
My programs won't do what I want them to in this web blogging irritation.

Trying to drive traffic, but stuck on the same track,
spinning in a circle, at the keyboard screaming,
watching the monitor,
with videos streaming.

The social networking roller-coaster ride,
pulling me in reverse,
it suddenly comes to a stop,
for a slight moment, in my poetic universe.

I type, and I type, in all the media hype,
on this roller-coaster, waiting for it to take me up higher.
Uh-oh the great comptroller has done it again,
frozen in one place, CTRL, ALT, DEL, there goes my words to inspire!

Okay, here I go again,
viruses and worms scan.
A sigh of relief, the comptroller gets me going again,
a short ride to the top, with the computer repair man.

It certainly is easy to get caught up in all those sites, as the clock keeps whirring along.
