Signing Away Our Social Security Benefits to Illegal Aliens
So how did this come to fruition? An agreement was signed on June 29, 2004 by the U.S Commissioner of Social Security and the director general of the Social Security Institute of Mexico. The agreement was to give illegal aliens the option of U.S Social Security benefits, once they worked in the U.S for the required 18 month period. At present, the agreement is waiting for President Bush to sign it into law. This law will not actually be put through Congress, but they will have up to 60 days to give their disapproval on the law.
According to the Investor's Business Daily News, the Social Security system (from a 2003 report) currently has a $14 trillion liability with assets of only $3.5 trillion, and the agreement would drain billions more from the system. This agreement is also referred to as a Totalization agreement. Currently the U.S has agreement with 20 other countries, but only to avoid double-taxation. Totalization agreements were never made for the millions of illegal aliens that "find" their way into the U.S one way or another. The workers from the other 20 countries come here legally with complete documentation to verify that they are authorized to work in the U.S. The amount of people we allow in at one time on this program is also limited per country. However, the U.S is trying to turn a blind eye on Mexican citizens that skip the legal process of coming into the country to work legally. Thus allowing the illegal aliens to come into the country in virtual droves, earn money, and then receive benefits as well.
However, the legal citizens of the United States can rest easy since the Social Security administration has stated that they "assume that the behavior of Mexican citizens would not change and does not recognize that an agreement would create an additional incentive for unauthorized workers to enter the United States." So according to the SSA, we should not be overrun by illegal aliens once the agreement becomes law.

As much as it angers me, it does not surprise me, The American Government is systematically bankrupting the country at the will and whim of the international development bank, (JPMorgan-Chase) and world bank. NAFTA and hiring of illegal imigrants is all geared to put americans out of work, foreclose on our homes and properties, and when the government and society are bankrupt, the banks will own it all with the exception of a very few. Inflating gas prices are designed for this too. History repeats itself, Germany was an industrial powerhouse and a Democracy, they bankrupted the nation, devalued the currency so bad people were selling it for scrap paper to neighboring countries. This is a great article! As I read the article I just wanted to scream! My husband and I both are disabled, and have bben barely surviving on our witts since my husbands disability began in 2000. We've applied for disability and been denied, and are now applying again with an attorney by our side because the SSA has it's head up it's... you know what! Now I read this about the illegal aliens getting SS after 18 months of work? I've worked for years, and still have not worked enough to get disability, I can only get SSI. Hubby has busted his butt for 40 years, paid in close to a million dollars in taxes, and when he was flat on his back for three years they said, "screw you"! You did a great job on this, and I am going to pass it around because every American citizen needs to see it!
I believe that the illegal immigrants should be deported and the borders to the US shut down. This, along with more customs and INS agents would decrease this problem.
I hate the fact that illegal immigrants get the same rights as we do. They came here illegally, so they should suffer the proper consequences--deportation. There's a waiting list to get into this country, but since they made the effort to do something illegal they get rewarded? BS. Drug dealers and gangs do a lot of work sometimes, lets give them a medal!
