Social Slaughter 2008

Oh! It's Election Time Again?

Randy Jones
Well as everyone is aware by now it has come to that point once again to choose a leader for our great country. As we see the unveiling of candidates and issues we watch frantically for the first couple of weeks to see which one will capture our interest and say the words that will make us stand up and say I am voting for this person or party. Unfortunately after the first couple of weeks following The Democratic Convention and the Republican GOP the confetti and balloons clear and the roar of the crowds have silenced down we are now under way to hear each side address issues and what their remedies are to bring our nation back on it's feet.

Well I have listened to both sides now for a couple of weeks and honestly I wish both would just shut the hell up. Why in this Nation does everything have to become a social slaughter in order for some one to get a point across. I have listen as Obama and his little band of jackasses have went after Sarah Palin while the lip stick of elephants go after any church or social function Obama has ever attended. Now lets keep in mind that both of these so called respected parties are trying to convince you that they are the right people for the job.

Sure both parties have discussed issues and how bad the other party has screwed things up. When comes the finalization of what is going to be done to fix the problems with our country. This Presidential race has turned into the biggest rock star event which in turn has other nations around the world probably just as worried as we are on who if either of these Candidates are going to be capable of running this country or running it into the ground.

To the Candidates I say to you that we have real life problems in this country with unemployment, social security, health care and just making ends meet in the common house holds and all you guys can do is trash each other. I could not give a damn about what a pastor said about anything, or how many homes or pieces of property some one owns or how much slave blood is on one side while putting lipstick on the other. This is just more proof that any President or party before this point has still not accomplished the uniting of The United States. We will never get pass obstacles of racism and feminism in this country till we lead by example. Each year the election races become more and more like a elementary school play ground with the name calling and making fun of just to see who gets the most friends. History has shown us that no one is going to come in to the White House and change everything. Please quit trying to even predict that you can because the American public is not that stupid. Have we progressed? I say yes in the terms of an African American candidate and a female candidate running for the highest office in the country, yes we have come a great distance. Still the factor of trash talking and exposing any and every thing we can about one's personal life and than smear it across the media like it's a trophy is not impressive in any form. If the back ground pertains to the professional office they are running for than yes it should be open to the public as many are in most states. Spiritual or family life well if Jeffrey Domer was running than yes the public has a right to know.

These people though they do not act like it are adults with children, grandchildren and teenagers they are in a since normal families. Maybe we should go out across the nation and just pick at random a family and spread every problem and issue inside the home across the media.
These people know their faults before they run for office. They also no what they have done in their past. As long as we do not have psycho paths or pedophiles or convicted felons running for the White House then I would say in general that we would have normal everyday people running for this office. Black, white, male or female I do not care just as long as they can honestly look at the American public and say these are my concerns with this nation and these are what I can help fix.

If you truly want to make history during this campaign, than just debate the issues at hand and discuss the problems that are in clear view. Talk to the Nation about what they are living and suffering with each day. Not that some one wore white after Labor Day.
