Soft Clothing is Perfect for Children with Sensory Issues

Heather Shockney
When I had a chance to try a t-shirt from Soft clothing I jumped at the opportunity. My daughter has sensory issues and clothing is a major one for us. My daughter like many children dealing with sensory issues can not stand tags, seams, and certain textures of clothing. Getting her dressed can turn into an all out battle.

There have been times it has taken over an hour to get my daughter to put on clothes to go on an outing. This was until we got out Soft t-shirt in the mail. My daughter immediately grabbed the shirt and started feeling how soft it was. When I showed her there was no bothersome tag she wanted to put it on right away.

I had to actually fight her to take the shirt off that night. She insisted I wash it and have the Soft t-shirt ready for the next morning. She rushed to the dryer in the morning to get her new shirt. She absolutely love the Soft t-shirt. She will wear it without a fight everyday if I would allow her.

There are no tags and the ink used to print the labels are water based. The label is smooth and does not cause any irritation. The shirt has a wide collar. This is a must for any clothing my daughter will wear. She cannot stand having anything close to her neck.

The Soft t-shirt we were able to try is a beautiful Magenta( raspberry) shade. They are done with vegetables dyes and enzyme washes. They come in six great colors including red, gray, navy, white, gold, and raspberry.

Soft clothing is a brand new company. They have a limited selection of clothing available right now, bu they have lots of designs in the works for the upcoming months.

As of now you can order t-shirts(both long and short sleeved), soft pants, and a soft party dress. They have more information on their site about new designs that are coming soon. I am excited about the new designs and can't wait to order more.

With Soft clothing I won't have to worry about a battle every day. I highly recommend Soft clothing if you have a child with sensory issues. Their prices are reasonable and worth every penny to avoid a tantrum at dress time.

If you are interested in Soft clothing you can find more information on their website.

Very helpful to know. Until one deals with a child who is sensitive to textures, etc..it can be hard to understand. One of our child went through a temporary stage but don't know if he'd be officially described as having "sensory issues". Still, we went through similar challenges. I'd have bought a Soft-t-shirt.
