Solar Ice Tea Recipe

A Most Refreshing Drink

Derek Strauss
Do you want an easy, refreshing, and very inexpensive drink to have around the house for yourself, the kids, or even company? Try this simple, no fuss recipe for a real nice glass of ice tea.

You will need the following items and ingredients: A large glass pitcher, fresh cold water, several tea bags of your favorite flavor (I suggest Green Tea as it is full of anti-oxidants and tastes very refreshing), some fresh orange slices, ice cubes, and a glass.

To make a real good solar tea, fill the pitcher with the cold fresh water and drop in four or five tea bags. Place the pitcher outside where it can get a lot of sunlight. You may want to wrap a piece of saran type wrap over the top to keep any bugs out. The sunlight will warm the water and brew the tea in as little as a half-hour on a real hot day.

When the tea has brewed itself to the strength you like, bring it inside, remove and discard the tea bags and place the pitcher of tea in the refrigerator.

Slice the orange into several thin slices. Fill the glasses with ice and place an orange slice or two on top of the ice cubes.

Fill the glasses with the tea, relax, and enjoy.
