There is nothing you can do until Kilroy gets back with the documents from the main office. So, there you sit at your desk, bored stupid. True, you could declare another paper clip and rubber band war on Mrs. McCrae, but Human Resources made you promise not to do that anymore, and besides, Madison in Purchasing and Supplies will freak. So, what is a bored employee supposed to do? Checking out the solitaire online games may allow you to quietly pass the time, make you look productive and keep Mrs. McCrae's bouffant paperclip free.

Solitaire online games are not just for the bored employee, of course, they can be enjoyed by anybody with a computer at any time of the day or night. Of course there is the basic version of the game with some distinct advantages of course, but there are also countless varieties as well. From the challenging Spider solitaire to the fast paced Solitaire Race and everything in between, there is bound to be at least one of these games that is right for you. If you like the stand-by favorite, online games can make them easier for you to play, especially if there is an issue with arthritis or other ailments that might make shuffling cards difficult. The computer will shuffle, deal and turn over the cards for you, all you need to do is simply push a button or click the mouse. Options are available with most games to customize features so you can make the playing surface as big as you need it to be, helpful for those with limited vision.

Many of the solitaire online games are available for free play, but there are other sites that feature memberships that require monthly payment. The advantage of the free sites is of course, no fee but you can change the games that you play as often as you like, some of the pay sites will only have a limited number of games, usually based on the level of membership that you buy for that month.

Check out your computer's preloaded games for their solitaire selections, especially before getting saddled into a lengthy membership that you might not be happy with. If you are only going to be playing old-fashioned solitaire and have no interest at all in learning a new game, then those games might be enough for you. But, if you are ready for a challenge and a change, then you might consider looking into solitaire online games.
