The idea behind the steak was a reward: the first to cook and eat their steak would win a bed while the others would sleep on hay. Pod #5 won yet again in the end while everyone else was just happy to have a full stomach and some time to rest. Pod #3 however, who is turning into my favorite, was still emotional and didn't want to be there. She broke down yet again but stayed just long enough to find a task. They had to place 250 stamps on their bodies, the first would win a bonus in the next task. Pod #3 went from almost quitting to being super happy about winning something, so glad she did because she sure needed that win and momentum!
Pod #3 took that momentum into the next safety challenge as they had to build a beach ball pyramid to reach a certain height. Each had trouble with the balls toppling over as they went higher and higher but many came up with techniques to keep their pyramid stable. Pod #6 tied together his beach balls using the plugs while Pod #3 tried to build a stable base and use less deflated balls to go higher. In the end Pod #6 won safety and now he's breaking down, in a good way. He spilled his guts to Val about always striving to be better, how he's always been lacking in life and wants to make a better one for his fiance. It was a different side of Tyler/Pod #6 then we've seen in two seasons and although I wasn't happy he came back, I somewhat am now.
Before the solitarians were tortured yet again in a treatment an auction was played using "Vallars" aka solitary money. Several punishments were rewarded to Pod #6 to give away while Pod #7 got a chance to spank someone 10 times with the dreaded paddle. Pod #3 got her hamburger while Pod #5 bought a punishment to give away and TWO letters from home. Why two you ask? Because Pod #5 was thinking conspiracy and he almost quit, thinking that was the point of the auction. He started to believe that everyone had already quit and he was the only one there. Why, I don't know. At one point he said Pod #6 was empty, but how could it be when the person in there bought two items? God Pod #5 needs to stay off TV and quit his game show run because I think it's driving him a bit insane.
It was then time for the next treatment and time to send someone home. I don't know who the hell thinks up these challenge but this one has to be the craziest. After putting on an ape costume, the contestants had to perform several exercise, all while eating bananas every few rounds. The bananas would make them sick while the costume and exercise would make them tied and sore. Everyone was hurting after the first few rounds, especially after the last one kicked their butts. Pod #7 and Pod #5 however were hurting the most and had to eat bananas as penalties after not doing a few rounds. Pod #2 however was just plain stupid and did 30 of the wrong exercises, thankfully for him it was early on so he didn't get hurt too much by it. In the end though it was Pod #5 who was sent packing after he thought that he was safe. I'm glad that Pod #5 is going home. He was cocky and I think his ego about being a "game show veteran" kind of went to his head.
