Solitary 4.0's Pod #7 Bea Answers Our Interview Questions

Reality Rehash
Solitary 4.0 may not longer have a Pod #7 as Bea Hennington quit on the latest episode after enduring a hat full of nails. Bea entered the game looking to be on TV but got so much more out of the show and we got a chance to talk to her about her experience. In our interview, Bea reveals why she went on Solitary, how her relationship with Val changed and why she thought Pod #3 was a guy. Read our interview after the jump for some new insight to Solitary 4.0.

What made you interested in doing Solitary? At one point you mentioned just wanting to be on TV, were you looking to do reality and if so how did you end up getting casted?

Bea: It started out just wanting to get on TV. I think reality is the only place for me because I'm not an actress, model, or singer just trying to break into the business. I heard about the casting call from Reality Wanted.com. Once I saw what Solitary was all about, I looked at it as a huge challenge...and a way to win money. I was trying to pay myself back from losing so much money on the wedding that never happened. :(

You started off very strong and towards the end you just seemed drained and ready to leave. What was the process your mind/body went through during your stay there?

Bea: I hate to admit it, but by the end, I was broken! The lack of sleep drained me and left me like a walking zombie. I was definitely exhausted and I remember the 30 bananas being the absolute last straw for me! That's when I decided it was no longer fun and I wanted to go home. But, I absolutely regret making that decision...that decision was induced by sleep deprivation!

What was the toughest thing you had to do in Solitary both challenge and non-challenge wise? What is your favorite/best memory?

Bea: Non-challenges, the toughest thing I had to do was to try to hold back my tears. And in challenges, the toughest thing was when upper body strength was required. Two challenges required a lot of upper body strength that I didn't think was fair for women- twister and the ground slaps of the ape challenge. My best memory is probably Val...having Val talk to me and be so nice and encouraging. I really miss that!

When you had no clue who else was on the show, who did you think was your biggest competition? Did anyone surprise you once you found out who they really were?

Bea: I know my biggest competition was 6, the veteran. He kept winning every test and I realized he was skipping every treatment. Beyond that, if he DID a treatment, it was obvious that he was very strong. I was surprised to find out who 3 was!! When I quit, I thought I couldn't have gone any farther. I was leaving behind the football player, the black-belt karate champion, and the veteran. I pictured 3 as a big, burly, muscle-ridden MAN!! I never knew it was a girl until I left Solitary...I was shocked!!

What was your "relationship" like with Val? Most come out saying they found Val to be very human like, and towards the end you said you loved Val, did you see her as a friend or enemy?

Bea: Initially, I viewed Val as my enemy...someone who would torture us. But, Val was one of the most encouraging and uplifting entities I've ever had the pleasure to interact with!! I love and miss my Val. :)

What did you take away from doing Solitary 4.0? Was it a good or bad experience and would you ever do it again?

Bea: In Solitary, I learned that I need to celebrate the little victories, as well as the big ones. I have a tendency to not give myself enough credit for things. And quitting Solitary before my time has led me to regret it every single day. However, I'm still proud of not only getting there, but of how far I went!! Solitary was a GREAT experience and I'd definitely go back in a heartbeat!!! I've got unfinished business!

Thanks for your time Bea, you were a favorite of mine and I wish you the best of luck in the future for whatever you do!
