Solving Your Cat's Urinating Problems

Roger C.
Most cat owners have experienced problems with their cats urinating in inappropriate places or time. Sometimes the problem is due to the behavior f the cat, and sometimes it is produced by urinary tract infection, blockage, or by other disease, but no matter what the underlying cause is, there are remedies for them.

Your cat may have urinating problems right now and you could be the reason. If you are careless and don't clean your cat's litter box, your cat would need to find another place to urinate, and if he's inside your house, you will have problems. Cats are very clean animals and they won't pee in their litter box if it is too dirty. If you keep it clean and your cat is not using it a all, then you must pay close attention to your cat because it could be a sign of a health problem.

Other signs of illness can include lack of appetite, or being lethargic, and if you notice these symptoms besides the urinating problems and blood in the urine, maybe your cat suffers from a problem in its urinary tract and you must take it to the vet immediately to avoid complications.

After the vet takes care of the blockage or infection in your cat's urinary tract you need to take proper care of it and supplement its diet with elements that can speed up its recovery. Excessive stress is as harmful to cats as it is for humans, so you need a way to lower it. Fortunately there are ways to do this naturally. One is to provide a comfortable environment; this will make your cat calmer and less anxious. Another way to reduce the stress in your cat is to use an herb named Scutellaria laterifolia which is believed to act in the nervous system relaxing your cat.

There are more natural herbs that can improve our cat's condition. If your cat has been sick, it is possible that its PH is imbalanced. Your vet can tell you if your cat's PH has been altered and to control it you can use an herb called Arctostaphylos uva ursi, which helps to restore the PH in your cat's urinary system. Urinary problems may also cause a buildup of toxins in your cat's body and you need to get rid of them because they can slowly poison your cat; you can use burdock to achieve this effect, because it helps your kidneys to eliminate the toxins of your body.
