The sound that we hear as snoring is the vibrations at the back of your mouth at the soft palate. This happens because the air passage gets blocked somehow. When the air passage is blocked, the air flow is irregular, which is why we snore.
Many people don't opt for surgery in order stop their snoring problem, they would rather try the tips and cures available to stop snoring. This is an inexpensive, excellent and a much safer way of overcoming their snoring. There are many stop snoring exercise programs available but you have to be sure to choose the right one for you.
There are two types of exercise that you will have to follow to help you with this problem. Firstly you have to find some type of exercise that you are comfortable with like walking or swimming. It doesn't have to be something strenuous but has to be something you enjoy. This is because you have to do this every day not once in a while so if you choose something that you enjoy you are more likely to stick with it.
The reason for this exercise is so that you get fit and have control over your body weight. The exercise is intended for toning up your muscles which also includes the muscles in the throat so that you can stop snoring. Observations have been made that overweight people snore more and active people snore less.
Now comes the part where you can do some exercises to stop snoring by toning up and strengthening your throat, neck and tongue. This involves exercises similar to those done by singers.
The reason for this exercise is so that you can clear the air passage way from blocking up so that you can reduce or stop snoring. Studies have shown that the blocked air ways are caused by weak neck, throat muscles and neck as this narrows the passage which causes snoring.
The exercises to help you stop snoring are quite simple and don't take up a lot of time. Make sure that you do this regularly. Use the following exercise to help you to prevent snoring.
You have to first open and close your mouth and make sure that your lips touch. Now pucker up, like you are going to kiss, hold it for 10 seconds and then relax. Now do an exaggerated smile, hold this for 10 seconds and then relax. Now open your mouth wide and try to pucker, make sure not to close your mouth, hold for 10 seconds and then relax. Lastly close your mouth and press your lips tightly together.
These are just some of the many stop snoring exercises that will help you prevent snoring. Not only will it stop you snoring it will also give you an energy boost as it helps your breathe more easy.
