Small Wonder (1985-1989)
Who can forget the Vicki the robot girl with the monotonous voice, or her tremendous strength ability for getting the dust bunnies under couches. The ability to shrink and grow and have screwdriver fingers would not be a characteristic you see now a days on tv. And who could forget the theme song.
Punky Brewster (1984-1988)
The definitive show that had broke barriers in laundry baskets around the world. It made wearing mismatched socks acceptable. Not to mention the show dealt with heavy topics such as drug use and house hold poisons . How we all yearned for a dog like Brandon. Ya know, one that is loyal, cute, and just terrific at poker. Alas, young viewers will never forget the traumatic and horrifying two-part episodes "Perils of Punky" In season 2. No child was ready for that. Not cool Punky, not cool.
Little fun fact Emily Schulman who played Harriet on "Small Wonder", and Ami Foster who played Margeaux on "Punky Brewster" , starred together in the classic 80's comedy Movie "Troop Beverly Hills"
Who's the Boss (1984-1992)
This 80's tv show so good that it even made to the 90's for a couple years. Uptight Angela, goofy but attractive male house keeper Tony , and witty Mona, was an 80's comedy smorgasbord. Also, it featured the young Alyssa Milano as Tony's tomboy daughter, oh yea ...and Jonathan. No offense but Jonathan was not given too much screen time.
Alf (1986-1990)
What could be better than a witty furry alien? Yes none of us will ever see anything close to a wisecracking alien that eats cats, on Tv now a days. How we all idolized the Tanners for having such a cool out of this world family member. If only everyone could have a sibling from Melmac.
The Wonder Years (1988-1993)
An Amazing show, with a stellar cast of actors. Will there ever be a time when the theme song of wonder years isn't in our heads? Damn you Winnie for always playing with Kevin's heart.
Married with Children (1987-1997)
With a ten year run, this show was one of the sitcoms that portrayed the other " side" of family life. This is another example of a stellar cast sitcom, with great theme song as well. A show that truly left us with a mental picture about what married life is: your husband with his hand in pants, watching tv on the sofa
The Simpsons( 1989- Still going)
A sitcom that has with stood the ups and downs of tv since the late 80's. There is nothing to "D'oh" about that.
