It's so good to be up and about
When the clock goes off, I always dread
To get myself up, and out of bed
My body is stiff, my skin is sore
It takes so much to get out that door
A cup of coffee and a shower, real hot
To get me started, this helps alot !
The hot running water seems to wash away
Some of the stiffness, that plagues my day
And with that water, some dread subsides
The task seems easier to take the day's ride
Then there's make-up and hair, I try to look nice
To mask painful feelings, this must suffice
Then out the door, it's time to go
I'll try to relax and go with the flow
Some days are good, some days are bad
Some days are the worst that I've ever had
But somehow I always make it through
Most things get done, that I need to do
Then it is time, for errands and home
But boy I'm tired, and my energy is gone
I take a moment, to think and ponder
Can it wait ' til later? I tend to wonder
I'll put my errands off until another day
I just want to go home without any delay
I can do them sometime when I feel almost right
I 'm going straight home for some peace and quiet
Then to my couch, for awhile, I vegetate
Oh! look at the clock, it's getting late!
After resting there are chores to do
Like washing clothes, cooking, and there's dishes too.....
I try to get things done before I end this day
Because I know tomorrow will be the same way
Then it's time for bed, I need that rest
Before getting up in the morning for another day's test.
