Some Facts About Skin Care Products

Every woman loves to have one thing in her possession: healthy, glowing skin. Some characteristics of our skin cannot be altered because they are inherited, but some, such as dryness, wrinkles or a lack of luster can be taken care of with the help of good herbal skin care products.

A high quality cleanser, for example can do wonders for your complexion by giving it a lift. It is a recognized fact that residue from makeup can cause the skin to erupt or flake. What such a cleanser can do therefore, is remove makeup residue and excess oil without totally sapping the skin of its moisture. It can also keep pores clear and healthy by dispelling accumulated grime. Some cleansers have menthol or eucalyptus oil, which perform the dual functions of cooling and clearing the skin.

A natural herbal facial astringent can work as a skin toner to remove excess oil and dead skin cells and make the skin look clean and healthy.

A light moisturizer and skin normalizer on the other hand, can help normalize oily skin, especially for adolescents. Moisturizers are generally able to restore the natural moisture levels of the skin without clogging pores. Moisturizers with amino acid help keep the skin clear and healthy.

Another amazing herb that helps soothe tired skin while giving it a refreshing look and feel, is aloe vera. It can be applied directly on the skin or by way of a cream or gel. Usually it gives the skin a splendid, instantaneous respite from stress and strain.

One type of skin care product that beauty experts and dermatologists alike insist on is AHA creams or lotions. AHA or alpha-hydroxy acid is a chemical compound resulting from fruit and milk sugars. AHAs are used in skin care products such as lotions or creams and typically they aid in the removal of dead skin cells and grime.

There is ample evidence to show that a good line of herbal skin care products can make the skin look well groomed, healthy and radiant. So choose your skin care range carefully, and don't forget to read the fine print - it is always good to know what goes into your chosen skin care product. But analyse your skin well before you do: is it oily, dry, flaky....and choose accordingly. Your skin protects you, so why not return the favor?
