So,
he left you
because time
has worked rings
around your waist.
And now your limbs
are bowed low
by a lonely wind.
Well,
don't just stand there
and crack-up.
Do something for you:
take a class,
write a poem or
make a new friend,
or do all three.
New buds
can sprout
from an older tree.

Post a CommentI like this poem. It is short but sweet and very well worded. New buds can't sprout from an old tree! Yes they can!
I will not look at old trees the same way again.
Oh, so sad but so strong, lovely :)
This is very powerful. Thanks once again for sharing.
Nice! I like the line "Time has worked rings around your waist".
I love this. Indeed, new buds can sprout from an older tree!
