Heaviness Level: 1 being Simon and Garfunkel, 10 being crazy. But not Cannibal Corpse crazy.

With My Ratings, keep in mind I like brutal music. Anything brutal.

LIGHT THIS CITY: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10
Female singer. She sounds awesome and gives a great sound to the catchy metal riffs. Their music is enraptures me to this day and I've been fans of these guys for a while.
My Rating: 84%

MISERY SIGNALS: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10
I refer to these guys as a smart metal band. They seem to carry a presence which seems like they're very educated. Their songs are constructed perfectly and some of their songs are impossible not to sing along too.
My Rating: 88%

MY BITTER END: Heaviness Level - 9 out of 10
I have recently got into this band. Some of their songs aren't as good as others but the ones that are good are very good. There are some bits throughout their crazy songs that are mercilessly catchy with 2-steps.
My Rating: 84%

ON BROKEN WINGS: Heaviness Level - 8 out of 10
This somewhat simplistic band are simply awesome. There isn't a lot of depth in their songs but it works perfectly. They breakdowns are slow and chunky which really gets the blood pumping.
My Rating: 86%

THE PHOENIX: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10
Haven't got many songs from them but what I do has stayed in my playlist for ages.
My Rating: 81%

PARKWAY DRIVE: Heaviness Level - 7 out of 10
This band put Australia on the map for heavy metal. They have great music and clean breakdowns that still keep a strong sense of power. They're verses are very well made. Their popularity gives this band a big fanbase downunder.
My Rating: 84%

RAISED FIST: Heaviness Level - 5 out of 10
This hardcore band are probable the best out there in my opinion. Their lyrics are deep and the content is riveting. Their sound is unique but they got their inspiration from Rage Against the Machine. The singer sounds like Tom Cruise yelling which sounds awesome. Very catchy 2-step.
My Rating: 86%

REFUSED: Heaviness Level - 4 out of 10
This band is more punk but I reckon they're sound would appeal to heavy music fans. They have a mix of fast and melodic beats and they're sound is very skillful. They have won quite a few awards and it's no wonder. They broke up a while ago.
My Rating: 72%

SECOND DAWN: Heaviness Level - 6 out of 10
Remind me of Anterrabae. The songs are jagged and sort of thrash.
My Rating: 75%

STICK TO YOUR GUNS: Heaviness Level - 8 out of 10
The singer has a very deep, rumbling voice. The lyrics are well written and meaningful. The music is so brutal and deep that breakdowns have to be non-stop almost. Some of the best moments in hardcore are available in these songs.
My Rating: 87%

SUMMER'S END: Heaviness Level - 6 out of 10
Metal. Smooth but crazy riffs. Catchy.
My Rating: 78%

UNDERMINDED: Heaviness Level - 6 out of 10
Kind of Screamo but not in a bad way. The unique voice and cool group vocals make this band one to check out.

Pure brilliance. These guys create awesome riffs and fast breakdowns. Nice metal.

used to be pretty much a classic rocker. lately been searching for some good newer stuff. my search for the most part has been hit and miss at best.I have found some pretty good what i call obscure stuff out there ( music ya don't hear on radio but should ) here are a few bands i have found some are disbanded but well worth listening too. Black Label Society, Doubledrive, Firehouse , Alter Bridge , and Firewind. Another group that looks to be promising is Speed X ( members from Queensyreth, Black Label Society, and Doubledrive. Interesting band member line up ) still waiting. Am not into what I call the hollering metal . Give me interesting guitar rifts and catchy tunes and i am happy. may we rock on be it rock and roll or metal. as us classic rockers say long live rock n roll. peace Luckey4u @msn.com
