If you enjoy writing even though you might not be great at it, apply anyway. A degree is not needed. You just need to show them a few examples of your written published work. If you have been blogging, or have written articles for AC or eHow, link these sites with your application and a well written resume. Show them you can write. Apply for other positions if you think you have the skills. Getting into Titling QA could be easier than you think. This is where you review titles and get paid for each one reviewed, though you have to abide by DS's guideline to remain a.active.
Demand's writers are paid $15 per approved article, where as Title QA's reviewing of a title earns 2 cents each. Individual earning varies depending on speed and accuracy.
DS gives me flexibility. I can review titles or write a How-to article when and where I want as long I have Internet capability.
eBay
If you can post photos and write description of an item, you can sell on eBay if you're a registered member. There are a few fees to pay, but they're affordable enough for almost anyone to start their own business of selling through eBay. You're already web-savvy or a surfing expert already, so why not put that to use and make money at the same time if you're not blogging to earn. Research to find what popular items sell to get the most out of your listing. Research first on eBay then go hunt for your treasures. It could be something of vintage and value such as an old Mark Twain literature or a collectible glassware by Fire King. Check out their fees and go from there. Ask the eBay community if you need help. Register with Paypal to protect yourself and receive instant payments from buyers.
Notchup
It's free to sign up to become a Talent Scout if you're great at searching and finding things. Since I am pretty new at this, I can't say too much about the company, but they do pay. Find their job posting on indeed.com or momcorp.com for further detail. I've only been with them for almost a week and so far they have paid me already which is nice, but there's still a lot to learn about how this company works, especially the pay part.
Associated Content
This is the site where it got me started. Although AC does not pay as well as Demand's, I like AC for allowing all writers, experienced or new to post some form of speech, and earn all the while. AC also offers a writing program for those who can write to earn more. As long as you're within AC's guidelines, you can even post opinions, poetry, or a recipe if you choose without having your articles going through an approval process, that is if you're not claiming a title from their list.
I've listed Demand first because it made me the most money. I can average $500 per month with DS. Working a home can be too quiet because you're home by yourself most of the time. That's why eBay comes in handy because if I feel like hunting for treasures, getting out of the house and driving down to a local thrift store, can refresh boredom at home.
99designs
This site is my dream site. I would like to design a graphic or logo and submit regularly to win cash prizes, but I don't consider my good enough, lacking the software and education in this field to win. I'm merely listing this site because it is real, though I haven't made any money yet.
So take it from me and you will see that the sites I've mentioned here are real and not scam. Check them out.
