Some New Party Ideas with a Twist

When we throw a party we all want to host a party that people will be talking about for years to come and where everybody will have a good time. Here are my suggestions on new party themes that can make your party stand out from the rest of the crowd.

First, how about hosting a brunch party where it takes place at night. If IHOP can serve pancakes all day why can't you? How about you host a junk-food party? Adults can act like kids again. Junk food should not be limited to when you were young. You can even throw in a clothing swap too and pretend you are in the mall eating junk food after a hard day of shopping. Decorate the house with napkins from fast food places and get some shopping bags to represent your favorite stores to store the "new" purchases you take home with you.

Another option for junk food is a dessert only party. I'm sure your teenagers would love to help you host this party.
To feel like a kid host a book club party where you only read your favorite children stories. For example, if you all read Alice in Wonderland then host a tea party for adults. There are so many great children stories that would be fun to read again with an adult perspective.

Children games are always fun. Host a board game night. The type of game you play, children or adult is your choice. You even can host a movie party and offer lots of junk food refreshment during the party. Also, think of hosting a favorite movie themed party. Have food related to the movie era served during the party. You can have a book club and movie themed party too. Read the book and compare the movie.

How about hosting a gourmet eats party? Wouldn't everybody enjoy eating lobster macaroni and cheese or some chicken made with some truffle oil? Eat and splurge on some foods that ordinary you could never afford to eat on a regular basis.

A four ingredient or dishes that begin with a certain letter are always fun. There are even cookbooks that cover this topic.

Think of hosting a potluck party where no dish cost more than $10. You can even combine it with a grab bag too. Who says that grab-bag is only for the office. A dish from the past is a always a fun party. For example, make a jello-mold that represents 1950.

You can host a six-month party. You can host a six-months-to-your-birthday party for those birthdays that fall in December. Go ethic and host a foreign country themed dish party. There are so many great countries to choose from.

Make a book or painting come alive by hosting a food associated with that book or era. Get some of the artist best painting, make copies of their work and then enjoy that painter's era food and great conversations about their art.

Have a party with people with shared interests. Host a pet lovers or world traveler's dinner party.

Host a rock and roll party. Everybody has to bring their favorite music and then dress like there favorite musical hero. Have guests bring in thier pictures or music that represents their favorite musical era.If you have ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends that you are still friendly with then have them all come to a party together and then introduce them to some single friends who will love them as much as you once did. To break the ice have people share stories or show pictures of how some ex boyfriends are not worth staying in contact with and why those that showed up tonight are for keepers. Spin the bottle would be so fun to include too.The whole point of a party is to have fun.

I hope my suggestions can help bring in some more fun in your lives.
