Some Television Moms that Have Kids in Real Life

Jane Kaczmarek has been married since 1992. She has three children ages 13, 9 and 6. Jane plays the harried mom in Malcom in the Middle dealing with 3 boys and a very immature husband. Her children in real life consist of the oldest and youngest girl and the boy in the middle. Malcom in the Middle is shown on fox. In real life Jane Kaczmarek is a well-trained actress who hates to cook and loves to act. She is Polish and her favorite food is Polish sausage. She is a woman who cares about family. For one reason she dated for two years and has been married since 1992.

While not a sitcom or weekly television show Regis and Kelly Ripa features a down-to-earth mother. Kelly Ripa decided she wanted to be an actress after she was in a school play. This occurred her senior year in high school. She had an extensive background in soap operas which is where she met her husband. She has a daughter Lola who is six-years-old. You can see in shots and even commercials how much Ripa enjoys being around children.

On Regis and Kelly she is known to make an occasional error but she is very energetic and brings an upbeat attitude to the show.

Erinn Hayes is expecting her second child and is a star of the sitcom "Worst Week" which is about people that meet and interact quickly. Of interest is that Erinn Hayes' character is pregnant on the show as well.

She is married to a construction supervisor and the show airs on CBS on Monday nights at 9:30 Eastern Time.

She is very down to earth person as illustrated by her marriage to a non-Hollywood person.

Marg Helgenberger is an actress that is in the weekly series CSI. She has "worked her way up" to a top dog status as far as her character. She wanted to be a nurse but decided to follow acting and has done very well. She has brains because she got into Northwestern.

Marg Helgenberger got married in 1989 and had a son in 1990 and has been married all this time providing a solid family. Further she and her husband are supporters of cancer research since her mother has been battling it for 27 years.

Kathryn Erbe plays Detective Alex Eames who was pregnant on the show "Law and Order: Criminal Intent." She incorporated her real-life pregnancy into her character's life. She has two children and is now a single mom. She was married for 13 years.

Law and Order Criminal Intent is on at 1:00 pm ET on USA.

It is interesting to me that when an actress gets pregnant they tend to find a way to write it into the script rather than taking a leave of absence.
