Las Vegas is full of museums. Here in this desert city you will 10 different museums. There are museums dedicated to Liberace, Elvis, Atomic testing, natural history, Clark County heritage and much more.
Hoover Dam is a very popular tourist destination. Here you will view one of the greatest engineering feats in the world. There are museums, tours, hiking and numerous photo opportunities. If you are in Las Vegas you really should take time to visit the Hoover Dam it one of the great American tourist sites.
Hiking is great fun in the desert. Just be sure you have all the vital equipment. Just outside of Las Vegas to the west is Red Rock National Park. Here is natural desert beauty with many hiking trails, rock climbing and natural viewing area. To the north east you have Valley of Fire State Park. This is large are filled with hiking, picnic area and many natural rock formations. You hike or drive through the Valley of Fire.
If you like amusement park type attractions then the Adventure Dome at Circus Circus is perfect for you. This in an indoor theme park filled with roller coasters, high tech rides, carnival games and more. You could easily spend the entire day here.
If you are a shopper than you want to check out the many indoor mall shops at the Venetian, Plant Hollywood, Caesar's Palace plus the Fashion Show Mall in the Las Vegas Strip.
When it comes to nightlife the Las Vegas Strip has some the greatest and well known entertainment around. There are also various nightclubs and adult entertainment establishments also known as Las Vegas strip clubs. If you are not too worn from you daytime activities than the Las Vegas nightlife will impress you greatly.
Of course there is always gambling to do while in Las Vegas. Casinos are everywhere you go. Video poker machines are in grocery stores, restaurants, gentlemen's clubs and even the airport. But you probably already knew that. Just keep in mind there are plenty of things to do in Las Vegas other than gamble. Las Vegas is knows as Sin City but the town has it nice quiet side as well. Remember plan your events ahead of time and you will have to do in Las Vegas than you will time to do it.
