There are many places of visit in India. Some of them are places of pilgrimage while others are places of interest. A visit to these places gives us knowledge and enjoyment. Some tourist places are described below:-

1. Ajanta claves: Ajanta caves are located in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. These are rock cut Buddhist caves, 29 in number. They represent a record of unique painting, sculpture and architecture of the period from about the 2nd century B.C. to the 7th century A.D.

1. Mandu: Mandu is in Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the largest medieval cities. It has extensive remain of fortifications and places. They have a synthesis of Hindu and Muslim styles of architecture and painting.

1. Badami: Badami in Karnataka is well-known for Chalukyas sculpture. There are groups of Hindu temples. There are temples and rock cut pillars halls.

1. Mahabalipuram: Mahabalipuram, previously known as Mahabalipuram, is situated south of Chennai in Tamil Nadu. 1. Kovalam beach: Kovalam is a sea beach about 16 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. It is the best known among the excellent beaches of Kerala.

1. Tirupati: Tirupati is located in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the holiest places in India. The hill temple of Lord Sri Venkateswara is an example of early Dravidian architecture and is one of the finest in the south.

1. Lotus temple: The lotus temple is in Delhi. It is located in an area of more than 20 acres. It was built in the form of a blossoming lotus which has three folds of nine petals. It rises to a height to a height of around 35 meters from the ground. This temple is also known as Bahai temple.
