One of the best uses for curtains in a apartment is as a way to divide a room into sections. If you're apartment consists of a large single room, chances are you'll want to divide the room into a living area, a bedroom, and every a dining area. Since most landlords don't really like the idea of you installing new walls, hanging a curtain is a great way to divide the large room into sections, and still keep the integrity of the room in tact.
Another great way to use curtains in your apartment is to use them as wall decorations. While paintings and photographs offer a way to keep your interests and memories foremost in your mind, hanging a series of curtains on the wall is a great way to bring a splash of color to the room that can be quickly changed as your whim sees fit. Just think about it. Look at the east wall, the one next to your bed. How do you think the mood of the room would change if there was a curtain acting as a tapestry decoration against that wall?
.
Besides wall decorations and room dividers, another great way to use curtains in your apartment is to have them act as doors in your doorways. By placing a curtain or two in the various doorways in your apartment can be a great alternative to the wooden doors that can shrink and swell with the weather changes. In addition, if the look of your curtain door doesn't quite meet your decorating mood for the month, you can easily change it
These are just a few of the different uses for curtains in your apartment. Curtains can offer ways to divide the areas of your larger rooms, a wall decoration that can easily change with the mood and a softer type of door for entrance into the different rooms. Now that you have a few of these ways to use curtains in your apartment, chances are you'll be able to come up with a few other ideas of your own.
