Some Useful Tips for Typing Well

Typing has always been a major talent, since the reign of computers. Almost all organizations require a degree of employees who have good typing skills, and some knowledge about computers.

Most people encounter numerous problems in getting accurate with typing, firstly because learning this skill requires a lot of patience, and secondly many people do not deem it too important to be taught as a subject, and so they do not take it too seriously.

But typing skills are not difficult to master, once you are aware of the correct tips and procedure.

Below are a few tips which can be helpful for anyone who has a serious desire to master this skill.

1)Download a typing tutorial program from the internet, or buy a CD

2)The placing of the fingers correctly is the main ingredient here. Place your four fingers of the left hand on the letters A , S , D, F , and your thumb on the space bar.

3)Next, place the four fingers of your right hand on the letters J , K, L, and colon and your thumb on the space bar.

4)Accustom yourself to type without looking at the keyboard.

5)First take the A S D F set of alphabets, and type words or letters using only these four. Once you have mastered all combination of these letters, big and small, move on to the right side of letters.

6)Do not bother about correcting mistakes in your beginners lessons. Concentrate on adjusting your fingers and making them comfortable.

7)When you have mastered these 8 keys, start using the other alphabets, but remember well that under no condition should the position of your fingers change. Type all alphabets with your hands positioned on the second row. For example if you want to type W, move only your ring finger of your left hand, the entire hand will remain intact.

8)Another important factor here is time management. Do not get disappointed with your failures. Apportion a half hour of your day to typing, until you are perfect with it.

9)For spacing, too use the thumb of whatever hand you feel most comfortable with.

10)Do not bother about numbers until you have become acquainted with the letters. Once you master the letters you can move on to numbers.

11)Do not ignore full stop or any other important punctuation mark. Include them in your practices.

12)It is also very important that you are comfortable with your sitting position.
