Have you ever wondered what it was like to be up close and personal with a lion? How about a zebra? You can do all of this and so much more during the Sunset Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Three nights a week, you can board a specially built safari vehicle and explore the savannas of the park up close. You can get close enough to the 200 varieties of birds and mammals to get some breathtaking pictures. Best of all the safari wraps up with a tantalizing South African feast. The entire excursion, lasting almost four hours is only 80 dollars for kids under 9 and 160 dollars for guests over the age of 10. It is certainly an experience you will never forget.
For a different kind of adventure, why not get an old fashioned barber shop haircut, Disney style. With pixie dust, bubbles, Mickey Mouse stickers and all sorts of other treats for the youngsters, and a good, fun experience even for the grown ups, why not let the specially trained barbers at the Harmony Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom give you a new look. You even get your very own set of Mickey Mouse Ears to complete your new do!
For the water adventurer, you can take a dive into a 5 and a half million gallon aquarium at the DiveQuest attraction at the Epcot Center. You can swim with turtles, sharks, and all sorts of wild marine life. Your friends and family can even watch your dive through the windows of the Seas With Nemo & Friends exhibit. The excursion is only 140 dollars and comes with refreshments and souvenirs. This one is only for guests 10 and up who can show SCUBA certification, but boy, is it an experience one will never forget.
For guests 16 and up who want to know how the magic is made, you can't have a complete trip without taking the Backstage Magic tour. A 7 hour adventure that guides you through the below ground support systems for the Magic Kingdom, the costume design for many of the Disney attractions and stage shows, and the technology behind Epcot's American Adventure, this tour is akin to a tour through Walt Disney's dreams, a real life look at how the magic becomes real. At 199 dollars per guest, this tour is completed with an authentic Italian lunch at Mama Melrose's. It takes a lot of work to make something as incredible as Disney World come to life for millions of guests every day, and this is a once in a lifetime adventure to experience that work and desire to make the world smile first hand.
For an adventure into the art world, look no farther than Epcot's World Showcase. From art made in Japan to African art and much more, there is certainly no end to the delights you can experience here. With exhibits changing frequently, there is always something new. Price of admission to this exhibit is included with your regular park admission ticket.
There is all of this and so much more waiting for you at Disney World. There are all sorts of things you never even knew existed. Next time you go to the park, take a trip off the beaten path and see what this amazing park has to offer you. While you're there, check out the newest line of stylish Mickey Mouse ears, they're sure to be the life of the party!
