Somerset an Example for the Rest of Kentucky and America

Anvil Clemens
Don't sit there and act shocked Somerset, don't act as though this is new news to you. I hate to say I told you so but, "I TOLD YOU SO" How many times have I warned you over the years of politicians who swell their census numbers with "illegal immigrants" in an effort to secure higher salaries and more tax revenue, have you not been warned? Let Somerset serve as a warning to the rest of Kentucky.

As reported in the Commonwealth Journals March 30, 2011 edition several key employees inside the county government received salary increases (mandated by law) from what I believe is a direct result of inflated census numbers from the addition of illegals living inside their county. If you will check the March 19th edition of this very same paper you will see the census numbers within this county; I will give you one guess on which group of individual surpassed all others in overall growth. And not just by a little either, I gave you the link follow it and look at overall growth and tell me Somerset doesn't have a massive problem on its hands in the coming years. Within a month of each you already have two hotly debated instances of sex crimes committed within our community by illegal immigrants against children, and then you shush me back into a corner and tell me to be quiet because I'm not being politically correct by calling a "duck a duck."

As my daddy used to say "use that head for something more than hat rack and think for a second," its obvious who benefits most when a population grows (politicians), and what's better for a politician than to have a constituency who cant vote, has no legal rights to any of the public coffers, and can be exploited for cheap labor. Think about it for a second these are key employees that have a direct responsibility for the control of immigration (or the lack there of) inside their borders, what benefits them by eliminating illegals from our borders and shrinking their population numbers, nothing. Political figures inside Kentucky are not serious about controlling illegals, they want this populace shift.

I'll give you two good examples. Two bills proposed recently by Kentucky lawmakers, both republicans incidentally, "Senate bill 6" and "HB 485." Senate bill 6 simply states an illegal caught inside the state of Kentucky was automatically guilty of trespassing and therefor would be removed from the state, this bill was quickly shot down. Why you may ask? What does it profit to political leaders of a community to pay to ship people out of the state. HB 485 however is still floating around Kentucky's government and at this point has a strong chance of passing, this bill marketed as a harsh measure against illegal immigrants simply states that the Kentucky government can seek reimbursement from the federal government for monies spent on illegals by the state, how is that going to calm the flow of illegals into Kentucky? If anything it will open the floodgates as the Latino invasion becomes aware that Kentucky can be a safe haven from the rest of the country, with county and state politicians motioning them to come in so they can contribute to an increase in their salaries and an increase in Federal Tax revenue (which inevitably will also find its way to political pockets in sure).

But what's going to happen in a generation when all those illegal immigrants become American citizens by birth and all that Federal money stops pouring in? that's not our current political leaders problem because they will be sitting on some tropical beach somewhere enjoying all that money they made pulling the wool over Kentucky eyes. Any culture which tries to outgrow its means will die along the road to futility, in other words this massive flux of people pouring into our state will overpopulate causing increase un-employment, sky-rocketing debt, along with an increase in crime, I think Detroit serves as the best example of this.

I will continue to pursue this issue by educating the public as to the actions of their elected official, I will not let this dog simply sleep.
