Something Pretty

I want to write of something pretty
of roses in full bloom,
lavender, yellow and red
an overgrown garden patch of purple
white and orange
a dapple of sunshine thrown across my sorrows
a climbing ivy of sweetness and compelling hope

Something pretty
and kind
gentle in its stretch for life
of the most profundity of being
in a flower

Something pretty
in a tree
a baby bird on a branch
chirping
fuzzy, new wings flapping to fly
to soar
free

A gentle, sad breeze floats on dust motes of sunshine
and hope for such a pretty world
gentle prayers for the places
where something pretty is but a dream of
petals and pink and bathing in the warm bath of life
and living things.

Yawn??? Boredom suggested? The need for excitement over beauty is a rather sad commentary. The poem is not at all boring - but the 'yawn' clearly is.
