Sometimes He Sends a Flower

Brett Davison
Sometimes He sends a plague
Sometimes He sends an earthquake
Sometimes He sends a beast
Sometimes He leads them into a trap
But sometimes He sends a flower

Sometimes they stomp on it
Sometimes they burn it
Sometimes they freeze it
Sometimes they just ignore it
But they never kill it

Sometimes it grows
Sometimes it multiplies
Sometimes it wraps around them
Sometimes it comforts them
But it never abandons them

This world has enough plagues
This world has enough disasters
This world has enough assassins
Be the flower

But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28).
