Sometimes I Talk to Myself

But I Don't Think It's All that Crazy

Jim Churchill
I have an admission to make... Sometimes I like to sing in the shower. Even worse? Sometimes I like to sing while I'm walking down the street in New York City.

Yes, I run the risk of people thinking I'm crazy. But I also have a whole lot of fun while I'm doing it. You see, I get so tired of people hurrying past each other, looking down at the ground and hardly ever greeting each other that I decided one day I'm just going to change that.

Some of you are definitely thinking, oh man... this guy is a nutcase. Hey, you might just be right.

But often times it seems like some of the happiest people I encounter every day are the homeless guys standing on the street, playing an instrument or just singing some crazy old song to themselves. When somebody walks by, they get a wonderful serenade. And even if the singing isn't all that fantastic, at least there's something interesting to talk to your friends about later on.

So yeah, sometimes I talk to myself, and sometimes I even sing to myself. Does that make me crazy? No, I think it just makes me fun. Try it some time - at first it'll seem a little strange, but after a minute you'll loosen up and have a blast!

I don't think you're crazy! Self amusement is a creative mind at its best! You want to read crazy? Check out "Is Crazy Contagious?" on this site. Keep talking, singing, and writing!
