Body Discovered at Lake Ray Hubbard in Dallas

The son of former pro basketball player Nick Van Exel has been charged with capital murder. Nickey Van Exel allegedly shot his neighbor and friend with a shotgun blast sometime in the early morning last Sunday.

The body of Bradley Bassey Eyo was found on the western shores of Lake Ray Hubbard in a park near Barnes Bridge Road in Dallas by a passerby about 8:30 Monday morning. Police reported that the body was found missing a pair of Air Jordan shoes, jewelry and a cell phone.

Van Exel claims that he accidentally shot Eyo while the two were engaged in horseplay. After the alleged accidental shooting, Van Exel dragged the body downstairs, wrapped it in plastic, and placed it in his 2001 Chevy SUV. He then drove to a park at Lake Ray Hubbard and dumped the body. Van Exel's attorney told the Associated Press that "Emotions were running high, and, obviously some very bad decisions were made."

Really?

Here we go again. Let's get this right: Van Exel points a shotgun in his neighbors face as a joke. That's real funny. He then pulls the trigger and shoots him in the face. That's even funnier. As an after thought he then decides to wrap the body in plastic, take the shoes, phone, and jewelry, place it in his truck, and dump it at a park at Lake Ray Hubbard. Talk about bad decisions.

I live on Lake Ray Hubbard, and the last thing I want to see when I take my morning jog is a dead body. Both Van Exel and his attorney are idiots.

Maybe I shouldn't throw the first stone. Everybody is entitled to make "bad decisions."
