Songbirds and Birdsongs

Sing Early, Sing Happy

Rita Hanks
Recently, as I was waking up, I heard distinctly in the spirit a song being sung;

"Gonna find me a bluebird, and let him sing me a song"

I remembered this song from my younger years, a song made popular by Marvin Rainwater.

I wondered "would the Lord really speak to me through a worldly song?" I went to youtube and re-listened to the words to the song I had forgotten. They speak of a man who is heart broken by a lover who has disappointed him. And he would seek another source of happiness, a bluebird to sing him happy.

"Gonna Find Me A Bluebird" by Judy Haun / http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JinlubbgtvQ

I thought on the message of the song. What is the Lord saying to me through this song? I decided to pursue studying about bluebirds. Or songbirds. Then, through meditation and prayer over my studies, some revelation began to come and I was allowed a peek into the Lord's heart.

I found the following article on line about how birds communicate with others through song.

Answers.com

"Birdsong can be a natural phenomenon of intense beauty. But our enjoyment is incidental to the main purpose, which is one bird communicating with others. Birds became the world's master musicians in order to convey to potential mates, rivals and predators all the important things they have to say, from "Clear off!" to "Come on!" The best time to hear bird song is at dawn. The dawn chorus is one of the marvels of nature. Birds all over the world show the greatest amount of singing activity around dawn, from English woodland to tropical rain forest. But why they do it is still not clearly understood"

Here the birds are called "the world's master musicians" Their songs are constant, never varying, faithfully they wake each morning with singing. Their beautiful songs start at the break of dawn. .

Proverbs 8:17

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me......

Psalms 67:1-7
"God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him."

God is recruiting children who love him and sing their praise to him from the break of day with joy! Loyal singers who will sing the songs of truth and hope and love he gives them to sing, for his pleasure..

The words we speak all day, every day, are our songs to the Lord. The words we speak communicate our heart to all we speak to. Normal conversation, Prayer, preaching and prophesy are our songs to the Lord, and about the Lord to others. Songs of praise to the flawless mighty God, songs of grace and hope to his children, give his heart pleasure. Our songs of love to the Lord and to others must communicate by prophecy the goodness and the majesty of the Lord and the beauty of the hope of salvation. We are his master musicians, his witness to men of his goodness and greatness. Through our music we give men a taste of the Lord''s goodness so that they are strengthened in faith by truth. Our songs will communicate prophecy of his favor for what is clean, and against what is profane. Mature songbirds will sing a pure tune, while some young still have some sour notes, out of tune, needing songs of intercession sung over them by the mature. The weak and the immature must be supported with love as they grow up.Throughout his word, the Lord teaches how he is grieved by children who walk contrary to truth, and fail to give him due honor. Our songs to the Lord must be constant, our yearnings of the night seasons should cause us to break out in songs of praise to our God before each new day begins.

In this current season of time, the Lord is calling on us to come out of old traditions that spoil our songs and hinder growth in him. He is moving mightily by his spirit to bring many voices into harmony so that the world may hear and enjoy a beautiful symphony for his glory!
