1. Butterfly Kisses, by Bob Carlisle, has been the most popular wedding dance song since it was released in 1997. It is a country song, but few people notice through the tears it brings to everyone's eyes.
2. Through the Years by Kenny Rogers is another country favorite. It's more of a love song for a man and wife, but not inappropriate for the father daughter dance.
3. There You'll Be, By Faith Hill is another country song that will translate well for any style of wedding. The lyrics "I'll keep a part of you with me, and everywhere I am There you'll be", are especially touching.
4. Sunrise, Sunset, from the musical Fiddler on the Roof is great for theater buffs or people of Jewish Faith or Heritage. It is a short sweet sentimental and traditional song.
5. Unforgettable by Natalie Cole (with Nat King Cole's voice dubbed in) is another classic song perfect for any traditional wedding.
6. What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong is traditional without being too sappy. It's a happy song that will make you smile, but not leave you in tears.
7. You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban has a strong Irish influence and is reminiscent of the song Danny Boy. It is also a good song for Christian weddings where you don't want to use music that is too secular.
8. My Girl by The Temptations is a great Motown classic that will bring a bit of nostalgia to your wedding celebration. This is a great song if you want to kick up your heels a bit.
9. Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder is a light hearted song for anyone who like to move a bit on the dance floor. This is great for a wedding dance where you don't want to do a traditional waltz.
10. Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross is a touching R&B song . This song could be most appropriate if the father is deceased and the bride is dancing with a substitute to acknowledge the love for her missing father.
11. Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Middler is a lovely song that is somewhat modern, but also very touching.
12. I hope you Dance by LeAnn Womack is a contemporary song with best wishes for a full and happy life after the wedding.
13. Time after Time by Cyndi Lauper is an offbeat song for a wedding, but that's what makes it perfect for any couple or family that likes to buck tradition.
14, Sweet Child of Mine by Guns and Roses is great if you have a hip dad who wants to rock out for the father daughter wedding song. Just remind him not to hurt himself during the guitar riffs.
15. Daughters by John Mayer is probably one of the most contemporary songs you will find with a touching father daughter theme.

Post a CommentFather Daughter Wedding Songs like "A Song for My Daughter" by Ray Allaire or Mikki Viereck might also be a good selection.
Daughters would be my pick nowadays, but for the life of me, can't remember what I picked for this song. Nice picks.
