Songs for Halloween

Monster Mash - The song to play for Halloween for many years, a standard, a classic.

Dracula - Rob Zombie's version is funky and welcomes people into an eerie Halloween mood.

The Ghost of Christmas Past (Scrooge) - With all the revival of 18th and 19th century costumes going on at most Halloween parties, this is a great song to play.

Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon's version is danceable and fangfulsome.

Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones or cover version brings out the devil in any room.

Fantasia - This is a soundtrack easily remixed for the Halloween party, which can be cut into for requests, and adds a bit of spookiness to the party.

Zarathustra - from Space Odyssey, an eerie prelude to any loud music, there are soft murmurs of spookiness and frightfulsome, although quiet, noises throughout.

Halloween Scream Soundtrack - these are available everywhere, and are even better when played simultaneously with the Fantasia and the Zarathustra theme from Space Odyssey.

Theme Song to Superjail! - This is a very popular adult swim show, and the song itself is lively, upbeat, funny, and scary, as well as extremely 2008.

Love Bites - A song for everyone with fangs, by Def Leppard, that will be much appreciated by all the vampires in attendance.

Robot Chicken Soundtrack - This Cartoon Network adult swim show is a much-talked about television show that most people have seen and remembered. The soundtrack is bizarre, hilarious, and sometimes scary.

My favorite thing to do is to record my own halloween screams, gurgles, vampire noises, and ghostly whispers, then replay them underneath the music. This spooks people without making the whole place sound like a haunted mansion.

Damn! I left "Sympathy For The Devil" off of my list. Oh well. You have some great selections here.
