Sonicare Elite 9500 Electric Toothbrush - Review

I received my Sonicare Elite 9500 as a Christmas gift in 2007. Never in my mind did I think I would love a toothbrush so much. After using this toothbrush, I can't imagine not using it. It is battery powered, comes with 2 heads and caps (for travel purposes), a case, and a holster. Now, I can't imagine ever going without this toothbrush!

The head is thin, which makes it easy to reach way in the back of your mouth and get to all of your teeth. It is hard to reach back there with a regular toothbrush. The Sonicare has a 2-minute timer that shuts the toothbrush off. You know once you have completely brushed your teeth. That is an awesome feature. You never realize how much time you spend brushing your teeth until you actually pay attention. Once you are finished brushing, you can immediately feel the difference in your teeth. They feel smoother and there is a better taste in your mouth. I have never felt that my teeth were so clean after using a regular toothbrush.

After I had been using the tooth brush for about 6 months, I went to my dentist for a regular cleaning and checkup. They explained to me that my teeth have never looked so healthy. Come to find out, they actually recommend this electric toothbrush to all of their patients. I just never paid attention because I thought it was an advertisement. I would have never paid $130 for an electric toothbrush but after using this one, I don't think I'll ever use a regular toothbrush again. My dentist explained to me that some patients even claimed they had seen a difference in the color of their teeth. Heavy coffee, soda and tea drinkers noticed that their teeth were whiter. The toothbrush was able to remove the caffeine stains.

If you have the opportunity to purchase one of these, you will not be making a mistake. The Sonicare Elite is the perfect toothbrush for everyone in the family. I believe, even if you are not satisfied, and you purchase this from a Wal-Mart of Target, you will be able to return the item. However, I don't think after using the toothbrush you will not be satisfied. I have one complaint. I think that the toothbrush is rather loud. If you take it out of your mouth, you can hear how loud it is. Once you place in your mouth and start brushing, that goes away. It is just a little annoyance to me that really doesn't have anything to do with the operation of the toothbrush. Overall, this is the perfect toothbrush for anyone!
