It seems like nothing will ever be the same
And still some nights I'm up until dawn
Tossing and turning over our foolish games.
I was a child, my heart was still young...

But those sweet words rolled so gently off your tongue
When you walked through my door
Today things are different- we barely speak.
You've gone your own way; I'm finding mine.
In our time together I hit my life's peak
But telling you so would cross the line.
Time will pass but, please, forget me not
And remember, you are, truly, the one I sought.
