Product Overview
The most important component of a camera is the lens, and a 10.1 megapixel Sony lens is a great way to capture the best photos and live-action shots without compromising on quality. The slim design allows the user to handle the camera without any fuss and the overall thickness is a mere 5/8". There are many digital camera purchasers who love the fact that they can point and shoot their camera at any moment and can also choose only the best photos for developing. A large 3.5 inch LCD display allows the user to view each precious picture in full detail and the high-gloss/anti-glare screen looks great in any light condition. Sony LCD screens are known for their bright, clean and crisp viewing screens and people marvel at how easy it is to take pictures using the LCD view finder. One aspect of the Sony that creates a disadvantage is that the camera is not equipped with a traditional view finder and in some occasions, it is nearly impossible to see the LCD screen in very bright conditions. However, most slim cameras do not have a traditional view finder, which allows the camera to have a larger LCD screen.
For people who have complained about taking blurred pictures in the past when taking close up images, they will have the reassurance of knowing that the Carl Zeiss ® Vario-Tessar lens will allow the user to shoot images from 1cm away. Also, taking pictures from a distance is a snap (no pun intended) when using the 4X optical lens.
The advancement of face detection technology has allowed users to stop worrying about picture quality due to overexposure. The Sony DSC automatically can detect up to 8 faces in one picture and will automatically focus and balance each face depending on light conditions.
Shaky hands are a bane for people who want to take night shots without a flash. However, the Optical SteadShot ™ technology will ensure that the shot is stabilized and will reduce the amount of blurring that occurs from a shaking hand.

The Sony DSC T700 sells for $300 to $400 at your local internet retailer and comes in silver, gray, red, pink and gold.
