Sony Dual Shock 3 for the Playstation 3: The Return of Rumble Vibration
We Want Rumble and Now We Finally Got It
It's not Sony's idea that the SIXAXIS controller exist, but because they don't want to get involve with Immersion anymore, that's why rumble vibration was not used in the new PS3 SIXAXIS controller in the first place, but when the greedy Immersion figured that they could actually make money off of Sony's videogame marketing, they then finally reconsidered and decided that it's no big deal and now we finally got the controller that we all have been wanting which we should've got from the beginning of the PlayStation 3's launch if Immersion hadn't ruin Sony's plan with lawsuit and copyright infringement. Immersion knew that if Sony won't use their rumble no one would that's why they reconsidered and flop back to Sony. It's good that Sony got rumble vibration back but it might be a bit too late as well since most of the gamers out there already had experience with the SIXAXIS controller especially with games like Warhawk coming out.
Immersion themselves should be a shame, because of them what we got at launch was a controller that feels like a big chunk of crap instead of a rocking solid controller that we all know and love. Let's just hope the Dual Shock 3 is worth the wait when it comes to rumble and we hope the two parties don't do away with the SIXAXIS motion sensing as well otherwise this might be another disaster for the two parties. It also seem that this controller would be sold separately from the new 40GB PlayStation 3 SKU that would be coming out soon which to us gamers may be a bad thing. Just how hard is it for Sony to bundle the controller with the console when one is available and for once is it really hard for them to bundle it with a good game, I knew Blu-Ray may or may not flop but gamers want a game console to play games, not movies. Sony should learn from this otherwise this may very well be there last leg on the videogame market.

Post a CommentActually we didn't get the rumble because of Sony did not wanted to pay the royalties to Immersion as every other company that uses haptics technologies on their products.
