With the introduction of its new line of mobile phones, Sony Ericsson also announced three new Bluetooth watches in a recent press release. Dubbed as the Bluetooth Watch MBW-150, it comes in 3 Editions to suit your style. Sony's first try at the Bluetooth Watch was with theMBW-100, but it failed to create a buzz among tech addicts.

The Design

The Bluetooth Watch MBW-150 Music Edition is finished in black with orange details, the Executive Edition has a professional looking stainless steel bracelet while the Classic Edition has a premium leather strap and black face. All the MBW-150 range has a scratch-resistant glass face and an anti-glare coating. The watch has an analog Quartz precision movement and a digital time display that can be synchronized with your phone. The new OLED display is discreet and will only be seen when in use.

Key Features

The MBW-150 uses Bluetooth 2.0 technology and alerts you of incoming calls and SMS messages via vibrating alert and you can choose to answer or reject the calls through the watch. The Bluetooth Watch can also serve as a remote control for your Sony Ericsson phone so you can manage your calls and your music even when your mobile is on the other side of the room. The music player control enables you to play, stop and skip tracks and even adjust the volume of your mobile phone. The watch also gives off a vibration alert warning when you're out of range from your phone which is approximately 10 meters. Set-up is relatively easy as because of the new Auto pairing function that automatically connects your watch to your phone the first time they are linked.

According to Sony Ericsson, the battery life of the watch is up to seven days while the analog time keeping feature can last an additional seven more days. The Music Edition weighs 85g, the Classic Edition 77g, while the Executive edition weighs 182g. The watch is water resistant up to 30 meters deep.

The Bluetooth Watch MBW-150 will be available fourth quarter of 2007 and is made in collaboration with Fossil. Fossil is a design, marketing and distribution company that specializes in consumer products. The company has its own watch line and incidentally, has previously released a Bluetooth Watch but is currently out of stock.
