The Sony ICD-BX800 digital voice recorder offers 2GB of flash memory. There are four recording modes to choose. The SHQ mode offers just under 12 hours of recording, HQ offers 18 hours, and the SP mode offers 48 hours.

If you are fine with the lower quality, then the LP mode offers about 288 hours of recording. The Sony ICD-BX800 also features voice-operated recording. This enables the unit to start and stop recording automatically whenever it detects sound.

Operation
