Sony Lithium Ion Rechargeable Batteries - Four Times Better Than Other Brands

Rechargeable Batteries Could Change the Way We Look at the Rest of the Market

Electronic companies seem to enjoy requiring us to purchase batteries in order to use many of their products. What other logical explanation could there be to us having to purchase 4 AAA batteries to run our remote controls, 2 AA batteries for our CD players, or any other combination of batteries for our flashlights and other basic devices. If you sat back and calculated how much money you spend on batteries you might get depressed. This is why I prefer rechargeable batteries, even though they need a lot of work as well. Sony plans to change how we look at any kind of battery with their new Olivine Lithium rechargeable batteries.

Sony currently has rechargeable batteries on the market that do not last that long. These types of batteries are lithium ion rechargeable batteries. They are able to last longer than competitor batteries and maintain their power at the same time. Another plus is that they can be charged faster. This basically saves us the frustration from when our batteries die while using our favorite gadgets. A quick charge and you will be all set to go. You can also rest easy knowing that the charge will be a long charge and not one that will quickly vanish on you.

Technical terms should also be explained for all of you technical savvy readers out there. Each one of these batteries will come with a power density of 1800 W / kg. Enhanced by the power density, the operation is enlarged and capable of offering 80 percent capacity retention over a period of 2000 work cycles. In basic terms, this means you can get 4 times more life and energy than the traditional rechargeable battery that you find on the market currently.

These batteries are already available in certain test markets across the United States. Sony plans to launch them worldwide over the next couple of months. It is their belief that these batteries could be the future of rechargeable batteries. Experts have long touted the greatness of lithium ion batteries and it was only a matter of time before a company enhanced this technology. I am interested in testing them out myself because I have only heard positive things about them. Keep your eye open for these batteries and say goodbye to the battery hassle.
