Sony Single-Lens Reflex Alfa 700 Digital Camera

Sony announced the launch of the newest model from its single-lens reflex digital camera series, the Alfa 700. The Alfa 700 addresses amateurs and semi-professionals, offering in large part new personalized features, creative instruments that can be used to create high quality photos without the need of professional help, or any training.

This does not mean the device is not a wonderful tool for professionals who want to make their lives easier at times, but it means amateurs now have a tool that will help them reach their main goal when taking pictures: reaching a professional level.

The key to performance of the Alfa 700, is the new 12.24 Megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor. This new sensor uses CCD image technology, and original Column A/D conversion technologies in order to provide speed in use, and high quality results when taking pictures.

The advanced Exmor CMOS sensor makes an A/D conversion, using several dedicated sensors that are placed basically on each element of the capture objective. The removal of the analogical noise is almost complete before the A/D conversion is made, and in addition to that the device has an on-chip analogical noise removal when the analog signals are digitalized.

This makes the digital data immune to the external noise, and to the interferences that may degrade the picture quality because of environment conditions, lighting problems, or dynamic objectives.

With a maximum ISO 3200 sensibility, the Alfa 700 model, can make possible taking static or dynamic high quality pictures, in any lighting conditions.

The Super Steady Shot optic image stabilizer which the camera is equipped with is compatible with any A-Mount (Alfa) device. The Anti-Shake technology was also improved significantly. The camera correction extends from 2.5 to 4 steps, and it varies depending on the objective that is used, the camera settings, and the conditions in which the picture is taken. This reduces the risk of blurry images, in situations when the blitz or the camera support would have been used.

The AutoFocus lighting device allows the camera to take high quality pictures when light conditions are not adequate, or the subjects that are in front of the objective have a low contrast.

The single-lens reflex Alfa 700 digital camera will be available in stores, at the end of October, and will be sold in different kit options, depending on what the device is intended for.
