Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S Laptop with Intel Core I5 Processor Review

The New Version of Sony VPC Ultraportable Laptops

Millionaire Hoy
I stepped into my local computer store and was amazed to see new Sony VIAO laptops that just hit the sales floor that day. While there were several laptops available my eyes couldn't shift away from the Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S laptop. This silver beauty was priced at $1,049.99, looked very much like a MacBook with its bright silver and hard casing, and had everything I was looking for in a new laptop.

I've always loved the Sony VAIO laptop series and feel that they are the closest that us laptop lovers have to the MacBooks and they're pretty much the top of the line as far as Windows laptops are considered. This Sony VAIO stood out from the vast amount of laptops in the computer department and I fell in love with it at first sight.

The Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S weighs an ultraportable weight of only 4.4 lbs making it perfect for carrying around without weighing you down or hurting your shoulder. The weight of this laptop is the right fit for anyone that needs a laptop on the go. This 4.4 lb weight size of this Sony VAIO laptop supports a 13.3" laptop LED display. The slim, sleek, and silver look of the Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S makes this laptop one sexy beast.

The look of the Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S isn't all that this laptop has going for itself. The Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S also has cool features like a backlit keyboard, DL DVD burner, Motion Eye web cam, inbuilt microphone, and other cool pluses. There are 3 USB ports and HDMI out, a media slot reader, headphone and headset jacks, a firewire port, and has supports Wireless N technology.

Inside of the beautiful Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S is the new i5-4300M Intel Core Processor that features 4-way processing performance for very fast processing power - in a small sized processor at 2.26 GHz. This Sony VAIO has 4GB of DDR3 RAM for added speed and performance and is expandable up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM. You'll be able to store lots of files on this laptop's 500GB internal hard drive (enough to store 125,000 MP3 files).

The only downsides to the Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S is that it's a bit pricey (at $1,049.99), the 500 GB internal hard drive is a 5400 rpm SATA instead of a 7200 rpm ESATA (which would have made for a better hard drive), and the screen is just a bit too flexible for my lifestyle (4 kids).

Overall , I think the Sony VAIO VPCS111FM/S is an excellent, great performing, beautiful, and light weight machine. The Sony VAIO VPC series just keeps trumping itself by adding better additions and I would recommend this computer to anyone (who could afford it).
