Tips to Soothe Babies Teething Pain

Every parent knows the pain of teething, the endless nights spent walking the floor while your baby screams. Teething is painful, but there are things you can do to help your baby. Here are some ways you can soothe babies teething pain.

Soothe Babies Teething Pain: Bananas

Peel a banana, cut it in half, and put both halves into a freezer bag. Freeze the banana, and give one of the halves to your baby to soothe their aching gums.

Soothe Babies Teething Pain: Ice Bottle

Get a bottle and fill it with water. Put the bottle in the freezer upside down so the water will freeze inside the nipple. When baby gets fussy, let him or her chew on the frozen nipple to soothe their pain.

Soothe Babies Teething Pain: Cold Washcloth

Take a wet washcloth and put it in the refrigerator. Once the washcloth is chilled, give it to your baby to chew on.

Teething rings are available at any retail store. You can freeze them or chill them in the refrigerator. You may have to experiment to find which one your baby likes best. Teething rings are usually filled with water, so if your baby has teeth you may not want to use them.

Buy a package of mini bagels, put them in the refrigerator or freezer. The next time your baby needs something to teethe on, give him or her half of a bagel.

    We put some ice cubes in a clean kids sock, and then tie the cuff in a knot. It is soft and cold for baby to gnaw on.
