Helpful Tips for Starting Your Dream Journal

According to Webster's Dictionary, "Dreams are series of mental images thoughts and emotions occurring in certain stages of sleep." Dreams are very significant. Your dreams are the essence of you. It taps into your unconscious mind and reveals more of who you are.

Dreams are also mentioned through out the bible. There are Biblical accounts of David having the ability to see into the future through dreams. David also had the special gift of interpreting dreams.

Through out history, dreams have been shown to have many benefits. For example, there have been historic accounts of Abraham Lincoln, the former president of the United States, dreaming of his death right before his actual murder.

Starting your own dream journal is a great way to learning to how to do some soul searching through dreams. The following are tips to getting started with your dream journal.

1. Get a dream journal - A dreams journal does not have to be expensive or fancy. It can even be as simple as a notebook or a journal book.

2. Get in the habit of writing in your dream journal

3. Keep your dream journal near your bed so that you can quickly writing down your dreams when you wake up. If you get up from your dream stumbling around looking for your dream journal then more than likely you will forget you dream and lose important details about your dream.

4. Practice recalling your dreams. The more you write down your dreams the better you will get at recalling your dreams, practice makes perfect.

The following are some things that you must consider while studying your dreams: 1. Dream Symbols are symbolic. The symbols in dreams should not be taken literally. 2. You should analyze your dreams and do some soul searching in order to interpret them.

Dream journaling can be very fun and exciting. You get a chance to take a closer look at yourself. After all you are your own best friend. Isn't it time for you get started with your dream journal? The choice is yours to creating a better you.
