Soulja Boy Has Removed Himself from Twitter

According to an article posted on AllHipHop, Soulja Boy has deleted his Twitter account and left two million fans wondering why he would do such a thing. Fans would like to know why Souljia Boy no longer wants to be associated with the social networking website, especially because he has used this venue to connect with his fans in the past. The following that he was able to achieve on Twitter is the most obvious reason that he was able to sell millions of records to date. His album titled iSouljaBoyTellem featured hits such as Rubber Bands and Turn My Swag On. These songs received heavy radio airplay and eventually lead the Rap music star to connect with fans through the use of this social networking giant.

Deleting his Twitter account means that he will no longer be able to connect with his fan base. This also means that it will be more difficult to promote upcoming albums and projects. Less promotion means less profit from sales and this is one negative aspect to getting rid of an account that is free of charge. Soulja Boy is said to have made $10,000 for every tweet that he posted on the website. This makes him one of the highest paid celebrities to have the website along with Kim Kardashian. The missing account left fans wondering why he would remove himself from the online community. He has not offered an explanation but there are a few possible reasons. Deleting his Twitter account could have been a simple way to ensure his safety. He can still be found on the Myspace website and his page indicates that he has over 400 million views on YouTube. Over 400 million downloads of Crank That (Soulja Boy). He has sold more than five million ringtones and spent seven weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles. He also has been working with the animators behind the Robot Chicken cartoon on an animated series that is due out at the end of this year. He has achieved all of his goals that he set for himself while in high school. This includes a clothing line and a shoe line with Yum Footwear. There isn't much left for this Rap star to accomplish except to try to exceed his amazingly high ringtone sales. This will be a difficult thing to do but Soulja Boy will be able to use his animated series as a venue to promote his music.
