Let us first address the main purpose of the Sound Senor Keyhole Finder. We all have experienced the difficulty in finding the keyhole to our front our back doors when coming home late one night. Reality is that a lot of us do not have lights to shine upon our front or back porches. This results in these areas being incredibly dark when we the sun goes in for the evening. The Sound Senor Keyhole Finder is a clever gadget that is supposed to solve this problem for you once and for all.
A close look at this product will give you a better understanding of how it works. In order to use it you must install it above the keyhole of your door lock. Its sole purpose and general function is to light up the keyhole whenever you are attempting to open your door. This is made possible because of the built in sound sensor. It works whenever sound is detected as you approach the door. Or so it was advertised to do.
The first issue that I discovered with this product is that you need to be awfully loud for it to detect sound. You actually are supposed to go right up to the Sound Senor Keyhole Finder and make a loud clap underneath it. This will enable the light to turn on so that you can see the keyhole. I thought the purpose of this product was to save you time trying to get into your home late at night. Instead you have to do an extra step that might not even work the firs time. You need to ensure your clap is even loud enough for it to turn on. Imagine how hard this simple task is to someone older how may have trouble clapping their hands hard in the first place.
Another issue with the product is that you can not wire it to your doorbell for electrical purpose. The product actually requires 2 AA batteries. After trying several different batteries I quickly discovered that this product drains them quicker than most of my digital cameras even do. Anyone who has a digital camera should know that this should never happen because digital cameras seem to eat through your batteries. This ends up just creating more expense in the long run.
My overall opinion of the Sound Senor Keyhole Finder is that it is a money sucking product that does not even work good enough to deliver to you the service that it advertises to provide. I guess it is something you would expect for a product that is currently selling for $10 on most internet websites. If you come across this product it is highly advised that you remember what I wrote here and stay as far away from it as you possibly can.
