Sources for Online Fee Calculators for EBay, Etsy, Paypal and Other Auction Type Websites

If you sell products or services on auction websites, you may find it time consuming trying to calculate what price to list your product at as well as trying to figure out the profit on each item you list after all fees and costs are taken out. I had created an excel file that I have been using for a few years that was full of complicated formulas to calculate all the possibilities for fees being taken out of any type of eBay auction listing I made. It took into consideration the different insertion fees, final value fees, etc. It took forever to make and even longer to update. Then one day I stumbled upon some really cool websites out there that can help sellers do a quick calculation of their fees for auction type websites such as eBay, Etsy and Paypal among others. So I trashed the excel file and now only use these quick guides which make my life so much easier!

There are several calculators out there but here are some of my favorites.

For eBay Fixed Price, Auctions or Stores check out New Life Auctions . You can calculate your fees for any of the 3 different eBay listing types (fixed, auction, or stores) without having to go to a different page. What is really cool about this is that it tells you the percentage that you will be paying in fees. It also gives you a lot of options such as whether or not you want to include paypal fees and you can choose the percentage that you are charged on your account. You can also include power seller discounts and there are also drop ship options.

Another good one for auction calculator can be found at Ryan Olbe's Web Development Blog. On this site you can calculate fees for eBay.com, eBay Stores, eBay Motors, Paypal, Half.com, Overstock Auctions, Etsy, Amazon Marketplace, ePier and AuctionCheckout. I use this one a lot to calculate my Etsy and Paypal fees. Olbe offers this as a free service however he does except small donations to support his work. If you donate $10 or more you will receive a link to your blog, website or store on his blog.

A more generic eBay calculator can be found at http://www.thebidfloor.com/ebay_calculator/ebay_auction_fee_calculator.php. It is very simple but the nice feature is that it shows your gross and net profits in dollars and percentages.
