The poet Susan Meyers will be appearing at the S.C. Center for the Book, located at the South Carolina state library.1430 senate street in Columbia S.C. Her appearance will begin at 12 noon and last until 1 p.m.
Also, the Second Presbyterian Church fellowship hall at 342 Meeting St in Charleston will be featuring Marcus Amaker who will be reading his poem Survivor and Carol Frost who published her poetry book I Will Say Beauty in 2003. They will be appearing April 11 at 1 p.m.
The Spartanburg County Public Library will be hosting an open poetry reading on April 17 at 10 a.m.
So make an effort to get to one of these local events and celebrate a little piece of culture with poetry.
