South Jersey House Concert Alert! "Wreckless Eric" and Amy Rigby on Tap for October 11th
Now They're Finally Married!
Even better news, you ask? Donation ticket prices are only $20 for the evening, and 100% of those ticket sales go directly to this quirky, innovative couple.
Rigby was last in Moorestown, New Jersey back in May, 2004. Wreckless Eric wandered by in late 2006. During the past two years, Amy released a great CD entitled "Little Fugitive" which has drawn a lot of local and national attention. "Little Fugitive" was chose as one of the year's best albums by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Blender magazine, and several other music industry publications.
"Amy Rigby's fifth album is filled with a dozen brightly engaging, incessantly tuneful songs. Deep down, she remains a direct descendant of the Beatles, the Kinks, the Byrds: Pure pop lineage, with just a splash of Jonathan Richman's sardonic innocence, just enough to keep the listener on edge", said the Los Angeles Times.
Eric's been having a few pretty good years as well. His "Whole Wide World" was the musical centerpiece of the Will Ferrell movie "Stranger Than Fiction", and was lauded by none less than Rolling Stone magazine as "THE rock movie moment of 2006").
On a more personal note, Eric and Amy moved to France (to be closer to Angelina and Brad? Johnny Depp and his brood?) and got married! (Yes, to each other!) They've also recorded an album together, which is due to be released by Stiff Records in early October, 2008. Their gig in southern New Jersey will mark the end of their six-week U.S. tour.
If you haven't seen them yet, this may be your last chance! Space is limited to 50 folks.
For more information or to purchase your ticket, visit www.jdhouseconcerts.org/tickets. And just like "real" concerts, your seats won't be reserved without payment in advance.
