South Lake Tahoe Nevada: A Wonderful Place to Vacation

If you are thinking about taking a vacation on South Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side, you are in for a visual treat as well as a delicacy for the soul. This is God's country, from the serenity of a mountaintop in Zephyr Cove, to Hope Valley, if snowmobiling is your game, and then the game is on! You will not find better snow-filled areas of wilderness to have fun and excitement on than right here in the mountains of South Lake Tahoe, or in the valley, where life is always exciting.

Zephyr Cove has a hundred snowmobiles, which can be used to take a tour of the pristine snow covered mountaintops which over look the far below valley. You will be seeing some awesome sights from meadows deep in snow where groves of pine and aspen dot the landscape. Tours leave the lodge morning and afternoon weather permitting of course. If you find Zephyr Cove too crowded head over to Hope Valley and experience the beauty of the land that is said to have the west coast's deepest snowfall areas.

After touring God's country at Zephyr Cove or Hope Valley head on down into the valley or to Stateline and visit some unique places such as one of the 24-hour casinos, or perhaps go fly-fishing or enjoy a nice relaxing spa at one of the many spas. Heavenly Valley has a huge ice skating rink for visitors to enjoy; this is very family friendly and is very enjoyable and relaxing. Even if you do not ice skate, it is fun to sit and watch the other people as they glide around the ice.

The beauty of visiting South Lake Tahoe is there is always something fun and exciting to do to keep everyone in the family busy. It does not matter which type of cuisine you enjoy from mouth-watering hamburgers, to plump juicy steaks to Greek salads with feta cheese you will find great tasting food you will find it here.

There is so much to do at South Lake Tahoe and when you feel the need for sleep, there are some very special places to slumber in. An awesome place to stay is the Fireside Lodge Bed and Breakfast, which has some very comfortable log cabin style beds and our room had a wonderful stone fireplace that was so nice to warm our selves by after playing all day.
