'South Park' Takes on 'Jersey Shore' in Spoof Episode! (October 13, 2010)

The South Park Jersey Shore and Real Housewives of New Jersey spoof episode aired tonight on Comedy Central, and has plenty of South Park fans bursting at the seams with joy at seeing the Jersey Shore and Real Housewives cast get ripped apart in animation. The episode is getting plenty of reaction from fans of the show, that's for sure! For one thing, people want to know what a muff-cabbage is. (Unfortunately, we can't help you there. But it probably doesn't smell very good.)

After the show, Twitter was abuzz with tweets from fans who fully appreciated the rather significant humor in the term muff-cabbage, Kyle's mom secretly being a Jersey girl, The Situation getting his ass beat for generally being an idiot, and smoosh-happy Snooki having a hobbit-like appearance complete with tail.

South Park Jersey Shore Episode: Funny or Just F&!%ed Up??

Tonight's South Park Jersey Shore spoof also included a "Real Housewives of New Jersey" bit which basically featured the hilariously-animated 'Housewives' calling everyone a muff-cabbage and starting fights in a salon. (For the record, muff-cabbage is definitely new to us, and we're from Jersey!)

After the South Park Jersey Shore episode, fans took to their computers to dole out the standard "LOL's" and "hahaha's" on Twitter. These fans included a user called "iamatweeterby", who tweeted, "The true form of Snooki. Gotta love South Park at times!"

However, one longtime fan of the South Park told Examiner.com she felt a bit non-plussed by the episode that started off funny, and turned a bit too dark for her taste. "The whole Al-Qaeda airplane wiping out people from New Jersey bit was a bit much for me," the fan said.

"I know it's South Park, I know it's satire, but I don't care. Everything else had humor, and was funny, but I didn't see the point in this. I'm from Jersey, and I remember airplanes killing a whole lot of people from Jersey not so very long ago, flown by members of Al Qaeda. I don't think it was right to go there. More importantly, why is it OK to show that, but not Mohammad in a bear costume? How was tonight's South Park any less offensive than the controversial, heavily censored Mohammad episodes?"

If you watched, what did you think of tonight's South Park Jersey Shore Real Housewives episode? Do you know what a muff-cabbage is? Let us know! Leave a comment below.
